Meet our Store Teams
From small beginnings and one store in 2006, we have grown to 11 stores across NZ, offering more people the chance to experience Wallace Cotton in person. Capturing the unique Wallace Cotton aesthetic, our stores are designed to inspire beautiful living and to make our customers feel relaxed and welcome.
The core values of our business include delivering enduring quality, natural fabrics, beautiful designs and exceptional customer service. This exceptional customer service is happily provided by the stars of our retail business – our store teams. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, our retail teams are always ready to make you feel welcome when you enter one of our beautiful stores. Read on to meet our Store Managers from across the country (in alphabetical order by location), hear about their roles, their teams and what they love about Wallace Cotton. And last but not least, meet our lovely Retail Manager who supports and motivates our retail super stars.
Meet our Cambridge Store Manager – Cushla
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
I started working for Wallace Cotton in January 2024, so not long at all. I have enjoyed seeing the changing seasons and the fabulous range of ever-changing product.
What are your key tasks?
I am the manager of the Beautiful Cambridge store; I am very privileged to be working for an impressive company and a wonderful team. My main tasks are customer service, building a lasting rapport. merchandising the store keeping the store looking gorgeous! I do the necessary administration tasks on a weekly/monthly basis.
What do you love about your job?
There so many aspects of the job I love. I immensely enjoy the interaction with our customers they are very much like friends and family.

I am extremely fortunate to have such a talented team of wonderful knowledgeable ladies. Elaine my Assistant Manager, Kirsty and Pip who have been working with Wallace Cotton Cambridge for several years. The team bring a lovely dynamic to the store which I am certain contributes to the inviting atmosphere of our store.
Meet our Christchurch Store Manager – Linda
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
More than 7 years.
What are your key tasks?
I am responsible for running our beautiful Merivale store in Christchurch. Training, motivating and encouraging my team to cultivate a fantastic team dynamic. Keeping up with the daily tasks and challenges of our store. Being able to help customers everyday with everything from a beautiful gift for a family member, a complementing duvet for a guest room, to designing a full décor inspiration for a fresh classic look. I take great pride in presentation of our store working alongside our Visual Merchandising Team with fun, creative ways to showcase and interact with our customers.
What do you love about your job?
I love the customer interactions being able to help someone, building loyal customer relationships over the past 7 years, seeing photos of how their rooms turned out, the satisfaction it brings them. Mostly I love my team. The support we receive from Head Office combined with the rest of our lovely stores. Every individual in our company is always ready to go the extra mile.

I’m grateful to have such a hardworking, friendly, genuine team that turn up every day with a smile. Always willing to have a joke and support each other, creating such a positive team environment. My wonderful team consists of my Assistant Store Manager Nicole, Jo, Bec, Krystle and Isabella.
Meet our Lambton Quay Store Manager – Baillie
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
I started in April of this year – 8 months.
What are your key tasks?
As the store manager of our Lambton Quay store, I am responsible for overseeing the store’s daily operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly. I create a fun and positive environment that encourages team growth and delivers an outstanding customer experience!
What do you love about your job?
I love the culture and team at Wallace Cotton. It is a super supportive environment and the people are fantastic! I enjoy working in such a positive atmosphere every day!

We have an amazing team at Lambton Quay! Everyone is very passionate about Wallace Cotton, hardworking, and genuine. We work really well together to create the best shopping experience for our customers!
Meet our Mt Maunganui Store Manager – Kati
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
Just over one wonderful year!
What are your key tasks?
Helping our locals and tourists at the Mount get a good night’s sleep! I get to do a lot of fun things in the shop here and really enjoy the problem solving and product knowledge that comes with the role.
What do you love about your job?
I love that I am working for a company that really respects their staff, and that you feel like you and your contributions are appreciated. I’ve been in New Zealand for 10 years and I love that I have the chance to work for a local business that is thriving. The product and the teams are fantastic and genuinely lovely.
Tell us about your team.
I am responsible for a team of five lovely ladies. All from different work backgrounds and tastes in style, we work together and collaborate experiences (and way too many puns) while enjoying the beautiful coastline of Mount Maunganui. It really is paradise down here, especially in the summertime.
Meet our Napier Store Manager – Lucy
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
10 years this November.
What are your key tasks?
To run the Napier store with my amazing team.
What do you love about your job?
I get to work in a light bright store surrounded by gorgeous items and a fabulous small team. Welcoming in both customers who have shopped with us from when we first opened to customers who are meeting us for the first time 10 years on.
Tell us about your team.
Sara is our Assistant Manager who has worked at the store for over four years. Very green fingered with a talent for all things arty including pottery.
Lucy (yes, another Lucy in the store) worked for us, left and came back. Lucy is also very green fingered and is a florist. Lucy has the most gorgeous little boy called Arthur.
Karen has worked for Wallace Cotton since 2015 in various roles and now helps us out when we are short staffed. We will never let her go.
Mia is our newest and youngest team member who works on Sundays and has a smile that lights up a room.
Jack the shop doggie who does all meet and greet duties generally two mornings a week. Paid in treats and toys.
These amazing people make up my team here in Napier, who all have a shared passion for Wallace Cotton products including Jack the dog.
Meet our Newmarket Store Assistant Manager – Kellie
How long have you worked for Wallace Cotton?
5 years and 10 months.
What are your key tasks?
(At present Manager and Assistant Manager)
At present I am jack of all trades whilst eagerly anticipating our new Store Manager starting and getting our beautiful store ready for the Christmas rush.
What do you love about your job?
I love the variety of customers and events that every day brings in Newmarket. I love the variety and pace of working in such a busy store. Every day is different, with new customers to interact with, and it's rewarding to help them find exactly what they need, whether it's the perfect set of sheets or cosy bedding essentials. There's a real sense of satisfaction in creating a welcoming atmosphere where people feel comfortable and excited to shop. Plus, working with high-quality cotton and linen products means we’re always surrounded by beautiful materials, and that makes the job feel even more enjoyable.

We're a supportive group, always ready to pitch in and help each other out. Everyone brings something unique to the table, and the energy is always positive, which makes the store a fun place to be. Meet our Ponsonby Store Manager – Courtenay
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
Five years.
What are your key tasks?
I oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that we provide exceptional customer service, maintain a calm and inviting atmosphere, and keep the store looking its best. I also handle staff scheduling, training, and development, making sure our team feels supported and motivated!
What do you love about your job?
What I love most about my job is the chance to create an atmosphere where customers feel relaxed, valued, and inspired. I really enjoy the personal connections we make with our customers and I’m also very fortunate to work with such a wonderful team—everyone brings something unique to the table, and we work so well together. It’s rewarding to see the positive impact we have on both our customers and each other.

Our team is a small but vibrant group of women who all share a passion for creating a fun and welcoming environment for our customers. Jan, Roz, Leslie and myself have a range of ages and experiences, which gives us a great blend of energy, creativity, and expertise. We work really well together, always supporting each other in our roles and celebrating our successes as a team.
Meet our Queenstown Store Manager – Chloe
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
I’m a fresh face at Wallace Cotton, recently joining the team in August when we opened our new store in Remarkables Park, Queenstown. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be at this beautiful store from the beginning and am already feeling very much at home!
What are your key tasks?
My day-to-day is all about creating an inviting, luxurious shopping experience for everyone who walks through our doors. From styling our displays to helping our customers find that perfect piece, every task is a mix of creativity and connection. I support our team in keeping the store looking gorgeous and making sure everyone feels welcome.
What do you love about your job?
Gosh, where do I start!? I absolutely love the beautiful products that I get to work with every day. It’s such a treat being able to help people find the special touches that complete their homes. I love seeing my team learn and achieve when they reach their goals.
Tell us about your team.
We all share a love for what we do and the energy in the store is always so positive. India, Lila and Nicole are always ready to assist our customers, and bounce styling ideas around to create the perfect looks. Being a team of four we are close knit, and all bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to what we do. It’s like working with close friends who all have fabulous taste!
Meet our Rosedale Store Manager – Karen
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
Nearly 10 years.
What are your key tasks?
My key tasks are to make sure that our store is looking beautiful and that our team have everything they need to offer expert product knowledge and styling advice to our lovely customers.
What do you love about your job?
I love all the beautiful Wallace Cotton products – they are a joy to work with and they make every day more beautiful for our customers. We are a busy store and I love it when new products arrive, we can never have too much Wallace Cotton in our lives or in our homes!
Tell us about your team.
We have a wonderful team of women at our Rosedale store. The combined years of Wallace Cotton experience is a very big number! My team members are Lisa who is Assistant Store Manager, Jill, Nadia and Lucy. We work well together to deliver exceptional customer service and always have a laugh along the way.
Meet our Takapuna Store Manager – Jane
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
8 yrs. 3 years managing the Takapuna store.
What are your key tasks?
I’m in charge of the day-to-day operations of the shop. Managing and coaching my team, providing exceptional customer service, merchandising stock, building customer relationships, managing stock and above all making sure our store reflects the Wallace Cotton culture and values.
What do you love about your job?
Love working with beautiful quality linen in a beautiful shop. Our Takapuna store offers a unique experience. An industrial store with a New York loft apartment vibe, industrial joinery, lots of natural light with a glimpse of Takapuna beach. Building relationships with new customers, maintaining relationships with our dear loyal customers. Love a chat! Dogs are welcome too. Love my staff and of course we are all very friendly!

I’m very lucky to have a great team helping me run the store. We are very friendly, always willing to help and above all we like to have fun on the way! You will notice this happy, friendly vibe when you walk into our store.
My Assistant Manager Lisa works hard to assist with all operations. Her customer service is exceptional. Lisa loves a chat and a laugh and her positive attitude is infectious.
Marilyn works part time and is a little pocket rocket with a wicked sense of humour. She enjoys helping our customers with her exceptional service and assists wherever she can with the operations. We enjoy lots of laughs and singalongs!
Bonnie is an Elam fine arts student, a talented artist who works Sundays at our Takapuna store and helps in other stores when needed. We both enjoy our time working together sharing our passion for art and fashion.
Meet our Te Aro Store Manager – Liv
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
I started working at Wallace Cotton in December 2022, so coming up almost two years!
What are your key tasks?
I am the Store Manager of our beautiful Te Aro store located in Wellington. I manage five people including my Assistant Manager Liyana who helps me run the day to day operations in store i.e. ordering supplies, staff rostering, payroll, processing online orders, keeping up the presentation of the store but most importantly creating a positive and fun vibe in the store for the team and customers.
What do you love about your job?
I love the people. I love meeting and chatting with new people every day and bonding with our customers over how much we love the Wallace Cotton products. I love my amazing team who I cherish deeply, and I love making up the displays beds and working with beautifully made products.
Tell us about your team.
The team at Te Aro is beyond exceptional. We take care and look after one another and encourage each other always. Introducing the team, we have myself Olivia, Liyana, Martha, Anne, Patricia and Rosabella. We love working with one another and treat each other like a little retail family.
Meet our Retail Manager – Michele
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
13 years.
What are your key tasks?
I have the pleasure of supporting our retail teams with everything they need to run their stores effectively, efficiently and successfully while also creating a fun and friendly work culture. I am also responsible for recruiting and training our fabulous salespeople to give our amazing customers the best possible experience when choosing products to deck out their homes around the country (and the world!) with all things Wallace Cotton.
What do you love about your job?
I feel very grateful to be surrounded by such passionate, motivated and engaged people who really care about each other and show so much pride in their work every day. In my role I love how every day is totally different and varied, and never a dull moment. I also love spending as much time as possible on the shop floor with the retail teams and our customers, it really is my happy place. We create such a welcoming and fun in-store atmosphere for our customers, and I really love this aspect of my job. I also love the how the business is constantly looking at ways to evolve, innovate and change to become the best it can be and be a leader in our field.
