    About the role

    We have a fantastic opportunity for a Part time Retail Assistant to join us in our stunning Mount Maunganui location. In this role, you will be offering exceptional customer service to our much-loved clientele, and supporting the wider team with general store operations.

    This position is for every Saturday from 10am-4pm.

    About you

    You will be customer focused, with a natural ability to quickly create a fabulous rapport with customers. Your professional attitude and ability to build and maintain strong relationships will hold you in good stead to succeed in this role.

    An interest in the homeware industry is definitely a plus!

    About the opportunity

    We now have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store manager to lead, coach and motivate the team at our stunning Lambton Quay store and manage the day-to-day operations of the store.

    Even though our stores are spread across the country, we like to keep our Store Managers & Assistant Store Managers connected with each other through weekly dial-ins and annual trips to our Support Office in Auckland to catch up with colleagues and be the first to see our new seasonal ranges.

    About you

    Just as there is no ‘i’ in team, there is no ‘i' in Wallace Cotton either! A collaborative leadership style is important to us.

    We know you will love our customers just as much as we do and with your engaging communication skills, positive outlook and natural ability to sell, you will quickly create a fabulous rapport with others.

    You will pride yourself on your organisational skills, attention to detail and customer focus.
