World Sleep Day 2025
Created and hosted by the World Sleep Society, World Sleep Day is an internationally recognised day that builds connections and raises sleep health awareness among researchers, health care workers, patients, and the public. The theme for this year’s World Sleep Day is ‘Make Sleep Health a Priority’, emphasising that good sleep is just as important as nutrition and exercise are for your health and wellbeing.
World Sleep Day is Friday 14 March. We love all things sleep and so are sharing our tips for getting a better nights’ sleep and improving sleep health.
Sleep Rhythm and an Evening Routine
Our circadian rhythm is key to improving sleep health and sleeping better. The circadian rhythm is a 24-hour body clock that regulates cycles of sleepiness and alertness by responding to light changes. Essentially, darkness equals sleep and light equals time to be awake. Reset your circadian rhythm by reducing caffeine and alcohol before bedtime, going to bed at the same time every night, waking early in the morning and spending more time outside in sunshine during the day.
Create a consistent evening routine to help encourage a sleepy state before bedtime. After the hustle and bustle of preparing dinner, clean up and prep for the next day, try to keep evening activities low-key, such as reading, meditating or listening to relaxing music. Wash off the day with a cool shower, light a fragrant candle, enjoy a warm cup of (caffeine free!) herbal tea and dim evening lighting to prepare yourself for sleep.

Sleep Sanctuary
Transform your bedroom into a relaxing and peaceful sleep sanctuary. Start by decluttering the space so your bedroom feels calm and tranquil. Add a beautiful green house plant for a touch of nature and place a fragrant candle on your bedside table. Make sure you have blinds or curtains to darken your bedroom for sleep.
Choose bed linen that is made from natural, breathable fabrics to help regulate your body temperature for a better nights’ sleep. If you’re a hot sleeper, choose crisp Heirloom cotton percale sheets, the clean cotton feel of Purity organic cotton sheets or lightweight Loft Linen sheets. If you’re a cold sleeper, try our higher thread count cotton sateen sheets or our responsive Loft Linen sheets which keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.
Bedtime Wardrobe
When it comes to getting a good nights’ sleep, comfort is key. Choose sleepwear that is roomy and made from natural and breathable fabrics. Sleepwear made from organic cotton or soft modal feel wonderful against your skin and will help regulate your body temperature.
From strappy nighties and camis and sleep shorts for hot nights (or hot sleepers) to classic full length PJs for cooler nights, discover our mix and match sleepwear pieces designed for sleeping in every season.

Sleep Accessories
Treat yourself to little luxuries that will make bedtime more beautiful and comfortable. Try an eye mask to reduce wakeful light. Choose from cool, breathable pure silk, organic cotton or soft modal in a range of designs.
Keep your toes cosy on cooler nights with soft Cotton Cashmere socks and layer a soft cotton throw blanket at the end of your bed to pull up if the temperature drops.
