Meet our GM and Finance Team
Wallace Cotton is made up of many teams who work together and across the business to deliver beautiful collections of bed linen, homeware, sleepwear and daywear to our customers.
Read on to meet our GM and Finance Team, a small but mighty trio who we rely on for our leadership and balancing the books. Discover what their roles are and how they contribute to making Wallace Cotton a lovely place to work and a lovely place to shop.
Meet Damian
What’s your job title?
General Manager / Sheet Ironer / Party Liaison Officer.
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
Just ticked over 2 years and wow that went quickly.
What are your key tasks?
As the title suggests, my job is to ‘generally manage’ the business. For simplicity and a top level view my objectives are quite clear - to develop the strategy, empower our great people and drive the growth of our business. My passion is actually the people in our business and ensuring that we have a great culture to perform in. Accountabilities are set but we should all have a bit of fun whilst kicking some goals!
What do you love about your job?
I love everything about this great business. The brand is strong along with our internal values that I will continue to drive. If I was pushed to say one thing it would be the great people that we have at Wallace Cotton. This includes the people working in the business as well as our wonderfully loyal and treasured customer base who we consider as part of every business decision.
I believe that we have made a few positive changes over the years and are always evolving and have been from day one. This continuous evolution and challenging the norm is the real driver of the success we are all enjoying, even in this tough economic climate. There is so much love for the brand, the product and being part of this very successful business. I’m very grateful to work with our amazing team and look forward to an exciting future with Wallace Cotton.


Meet Katie
What’s your job title?
Accounts and Payroll Manager
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
Since July 2011 – 14 years (during which I got engaged, got married, bought our first home, first puppy and created two beautiful kids)
What are your key tasks?
Making sure everyone gets paid (so they like me),
Paying suppliers (so they don’t chase us),
Generating financial reports (so managers can make decisions), and
Budgeting and auditing (so we don’t accidentally spend all our money on things (sorry I can’t tell you on what things)).
What do you love about your job?
People treat me well because I pay them (just kidding…or am I).
I wouldn’t say I love numbers, but they are predictable, reliable and never complain – kind of like my teammate Cam!
Meet Cam
What’s your job title?
Currently – Accounts & HR Support
Previously – UK Accounting Manager, Acting NZ Accounting Manager
How long have you worked at Wallace Cotton?
Coming up 8 years. I started with the company to cover Katie's initial maternity way back in 2017 and they haven't been able to get rid of me!
What are your key tasks?
My primary focus is counting the money. I don't actually count any money, but focus is on revenue recognition, auditing revenue and reporting. I also provide HR administration support and provide a backup to Katie for payroll.
What do you love about your job?
Working with a great company and a great team of people. There is always something interesting or some good banter happening.
