PJ Day – what to wear

Well pyjamas obviously, but not just any PJs. When it comes to spending the whole day in your PJs, comfort is key. Roomy style PJs made from soft natural fabrics are definitely the most comfy for lounging around in at home. Choose a classic long leg PJ pant and a long sleeve button down front PJ shirt. Layer with a soft cosy robe such as our Carter Robe and pop on warm socks with slippers. From pretty florals and timeless checks to beautiful botanicals, discover our PJ collection designed to take you from bed to breakfast and back again in style.

PJ Day – what to eat

Prepare your PJ Day menu ahead of time so you can make sure you have everything ready at home for a delicious day of indulging. Of course, you could always pop to the shops in your PJs if you’re feeling brave enough or order home delivery. Wearing your Wallace Cotton PJs, you’ll be looking fabulous enough to open the front door for the Uber Eats driver.
Here’s our suggested menu for PJ Day:
Breakfast – warm Danishes or homemade porridge with berries and honey.
Lunch – fresh salad with grilled free range chicken breast.
Dinner – cheese and charcuterie board.
Snacks – dark chocolate, coconut ice cream and/or popcorn for evening movie treats.

PJ Day – what to do

Here are our suggestions for what to do while spending a day at home in your PJs:
Take the opportunity of a day at home to catch up on your reading, whether it’s staying up to date with the latest world news, browsing interiors or fashion magazines or completing several chapters of your latest novel.
If you have friends or family with you for PJ Day, play card games or board games together.
Clear the coffee or dining table and set up a jigsaw puzzle to spend time on during the weekend.
Catch up on your zzzzs as you’re appropriately attired for a snooze on the sofa or pop back to bed for an afternoon nap.
Dust off the baking trays and whip up some treats to enjoy on PJ Day.
And PJ Day is the perfect day to reorganise your wardrobe – seeing as you’re not wearing any of it.

PJ Day – what to watch

Curl up on the sofa in the afternoon or evening to watch a movie or two. Movies are always better snuggled under a throw or blanket and snacking on popcorn. Our recommendations for your PJ Day viewing are the easy to watch and fun John Hughes classics from the 1980s, such as:
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
Sixteen Candles
Breakfast Club
Pretty in Pink
Home Alone
