Duck Duck Goose
Feathers have been used throughout history to fill blankets, quilts and eiderdowns. Down and feather are natural fibres with superior insulating properties, which makes them ideal for duvet inners. Down comes from under the neck and breast of the goose or duck and is incredibly lightweight and soft. It provides insulation and warmth. The higher the ratio of down clusters, the warmer the duvet. Feathers are used in bedding to provide weight and bulk. All our feather and down filling is ethically sourced as a bi-product from birds that are farmed for food. We have stringent measures and checks in place to ensure our quality and international hygiene standards are met. For your peace of mind, our Downtime collection has both the OEKO-TEX and Downpass certification. This ensures the supply chain is regularly audited for quality standards and ethical practices.
The warmest inner for the coldest night
Goose down and feather is our premium quality fill. It is softer and lighter than duck with finer quills and has superior insulating properties which makes it ideal for colder climates.
The inner for all seasons
Duck down and feather fill is heavier than goose and has slightly lower insulating properties which is perfect for an all seasons inner.
Counting sheep
The all season inner alternative to feather is wool. Our wool duvet inners are made in NZ using pure New Zealand wool fibre, encased in pure cotton. They are a light to medium weight which is perfect for year-round use.
