Flannel, brushed cotton flannel or flannelette are all terms used for bedding that is made from cotton where the fabric is treated differently to create a thicker, softer feel. Flannel fabric is made by weaving fat cotton yarn into fabric then brushing the surface to create a fluffy texture. As the weave of the fabric is tighter, flannel fabric holds the warmth in, keeping you cosy through the night.
